FuryX & Nano: New bios released by AMD!

I noticed this story http://www.techpowerup.com/221788/a...for-r9-fury-series-with-improved-uefi-support

I went to http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/gpu-firmware-download
and got the file, which contains both the Nano & FuryX bioses

I then got https://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/2531/atiflash-2-71
which appears to be the latest version of the utility, and which supports Fiji and runs under Win10. Just rightclick and 'run as administrator'.

Then use the Save button first to save your original bios, then Load the correct new bios for your card (FuryX or Nano). Carefully check that the part number shown for both the old and new bios match, except for the revision# at the end (mine were -101 & -107). Hit the Program button, and when it's done reboot!

Cool, installed and rebooted, seems all ok.
Got work soon, will try some games tomorrow.

Thanks for the heads up, will flash Nano tomorrow if I have the time. If not then later.

This is actually a very good move on AMD's part; hopefully it'll pick up and they'll offer such an option for more cards

Flashed bios, seem successful on the Nano. To scared to test now , I forgot to save the old bios :(.

What exact card do you have? Remember this is not for the regular Fury, only for the reference FuryX & Nano

Why do you assume I "only" have Fury, and not a X?

Anyways, just had to use the cmd and use -f, doh...

Working! :D

Isn't there a BIOS switch on Nano? So if you break no. 1 you still can switch to the backup (no. 2)?

Good question, I don't know - something for me to check out. Seems to be working, ran Bioshock Infinite benchmark and it seems to be the same as before.

As a note about 3 weeks ago: My Nano rig went to sleep (everything shutdown), I could not wake it up. Power down by hitting the power button, it turned off. I restarted and the OS would not boot. OS could not repair itself either - totally corrupted. End up resetting the OS and then I had numerous issues it seems to be with the memory. Then suddenly everything is back to normal .

Anyways maybe this bios update will help when the computer goes to sleep - I don't know but that was the worst sleeping computer experience I've ever had. Now the computer is set to stay on forever

Will play some games on it to see how it works out - so some OCing etc.
