Figured I would kick off an owners thread. I will not get mine to next Friday at the earliest but it gives me time to get setup to run benches for the fine folks of Rage3d. If you have requests I will get my Steam Library posted up here soonish and my Origin Library. My setup is 1440p I do have a 1080p monitor laying around I can also use for testing purposes.

Hopefully some of the other guys on the boards who have purchased the card will participate.
 
I kinda regret getting 980ti because i need to run 5 monitors and can only use 4 with nvidia. Should i start my own regret thread ? where is KAC btw?
 
I ordered also, late next week delivery. I ordered 3 different companies' cards (will cancel the extras), but have only gotten a ship date on XFX. Are all these cards identical? No extras in the box or anything?
 
At this time, there are no announced bundle games and the only extras in the box will be the driver disk, and maybe a package of screws to mount the radiator unit with. That's about it. Maybe a sticker if yer a good boy...

Ill chip in there(hopefully lol) Ill prolly look at untraditional stuff as opposed the standard 1080/1440p. 5760x1200 tests, a PLP config, vsr and ssaa stuff.

Seriously, as soon as I see one in stock (within $20 of MSRP), I will be making a purchase. I'm truly hoping I will not be waiting another month for this to happen. I have several boxes of new hardware sitting in my living room and this is literally the last piece I am waiting on. i7-4790k build.

I will gladly run benchmarks for the fun of it, however there will need to be patience because I haven't ran any sort of benchmark in like 8 years lol. Just been quietly gaming away...

Resolutions will just be 1080p at first, followed by 1440p. Still undeceided on which 1440p monitor to buy. Definitely don't want 4k, nor feel I need it between 24-27" screen size.

OK I'm not going to buy one not because of performance but more the fact I dont do watercooling. I would be very intetested in 1440p benches as that is what I game at. Not trying to be funny I'm genuinely interested.

Maybe wait for battlefront bundle?

Im expecting it to run about 10% slower than my current 290 cfx setup flopper(at 5760x1200). Overclocking performance is still a wild card. While technically my 290s oc well now, just to dam loud to be tolerable outside of benchmark runs. When you factor in ms there could be a negligible performance difference.
 
I'll clean image thread up later and split it off. Please only provide results or make test requests in this thread

Well I have an fx8350 at 4.7GHz and I have ordered a MSI unit.
I pretty much exclusively use eyefinity at 5760x1080 (120HZ)
Should be nice upgrade from a 7970Ghz

Will be able to run a lot more eye candy and be a lot smoother in 3d.
 
mine arrived today! my case has a fan opening on the bottom, and I put the radiator there, so no install issues. My cpu is a [email protected], and a quick 3dmark score of 13326 -- identical to hexus -- and a resolution of 1920x1200 mean my results will likely be uninteresting for most of you :) Ask anything though!

I can't hear the fan!! It's idling at 33C, which isn't too far from ambient here, haha!

does it have the coil whine and pump noise that we have been led to believe it has?
 
Supposedly thats been fixed, it was only early production models that had it, and most of those went to the press..
