I've just played through Jedi Knight 2 and most of it plays fantasticly on my Radeon 8500, appart from one of the last levels. Here I get the fog and it's horrible. Anyway I finished JK2 and have been trying the Soldier of fortune 2 demo, and that has the same trouble on the ship level. The thing is it's putting me off buying the full game.
I've done a quick search and see it was a known problem but does anyone have any advice on clearing it or reducing it?
On a slighly related note, does anyone know how to find out who makes my card if they don't put any company detail anywhere on the product or documentation? The box said Powered by ATI Radeon 8500, 64MB DDR Memory on board, and had a picture of a robot holding a glowing ball. I bought the card from a computer fair and originally thought I had an LE card due to the price £145. But the Rage 3d tweak says I'm running at 275 so go figure.
