Well, I am hoping someone can help me out here. I recently upgraded to Radeon 7500 and reinstalled Windows XP with all drivers. After installing EQ and trying to play, the game crashes to the desktop after my character loads into the game for only a few seconds. Sometimes it crashes while at the character select screen as well. Not sure what is causing this, have tried updated drivers and updating other system drivers as well. Anyone that may know how to fix it, or have any idea of some drives that work well with Everquest, plz let me know.

I had several instances of that as well. I remember there was a warning that said something about EQ's recommended drivers being one thing, and I was running newer ones. Once I switched back to older drivers (3286's for the straight 8500) it hasn't exited back to the desktop except when it goes linkdead. I do still notice some screwy textures stuff, but that actually seems to change for good to bad and back as EQ sends patches that 'fix' video issues.
I don't know why there are issues with the newer drivers, but I did get better stability when I put the 'recommended' (older) ones on about a month ago.
