embedded yt videos not loading up all of a sudden

for some reason, as of yesterday, embedded yt videos are no longer loading up for me on chrome. it just displays a black box and that's it.

tried googling the issue but can't find this exact one.

I have the same problem. But for some reason, it works in FF - but, FF seems to be converting the embed into the HTML5 player (which is actually cool).

I think starting with 47 Firefox started doing this automagically

embedded videos works fine on the android phone's chrome browser. shows up as black box on desktop chrome.
