i ordered my copy..i ordered my copy !!!!

Anyone any screenies ???

Any advice how to start with it to get a grip of the play ? Starting in single player mode - and then after a while going multi player ?

Cant wait to get it....

Yeah I have a question plz someone answear this beacuse it depends on this if I am gona buy it or not. In singel player must you have a big party like control 5 players at once or you can go venture yourself?
Thats the main thing I hate in some rpgs I hate to control 3-6 players at once I just want one HERO! thats why I didnt buy bg I hears its a great game but I cant stand controlling 6 players at once!!!!

The npcs ask you if they can come adventure with you

and you can say no or yes, you can even look at there skills before saying yes or declining.

You can even set them to different modes.

Example you can tell your sorc and archers and warriors to

hold ground
attack freely
attack strogest
attack closest

You can do formations like in Age of Kings very simple to set there stances up.

and no the game is not in stores yet, but contest winners have already gotten there games ;)

I got screens i need someone to host them.

content winners and crackers :)))

just kidding :)

yeah..some screenies would be nice....

Btw. i dont think its wrong to spend $45 on a game where i think it will give me fun for months (like DAoC does)...some games just look and prolly ARE that good that it is a no brainer to get them with handbook and everything...and RPG fans have it hard anyway to find decent games ! I think DS is one of the absolute "must have" games this year...

Ijustwannaknow - k another question what hardware do you got in your computer?
And can you win without any npc?

amd athlon 1ghz thunderbird

512 ddram

ati 8500 oem @ 250/250

soudblaster pci 512 sound card

with max detail i get 23 fps and it drops to about 7 from time to time

with medium detail i get 36 fps and it drops to about 22 from time to time.

you definitely need a ton of ram for this game

For all the models that you have to load otherwise youll get massive studdering.

Also the game has no loading times which is cool.

Youll need some npcs with you at all times there worth it.

Also when you move they move they're pretty smart and really dont get in the way.

i still need someone to host my screens

someone give the man some space for his screens ?!?! :)

Btw. what is "a lot" ram ... ?

I have XP Pro running and 256 MB ram...anyway i tweaked my XP a lot...i disabled a lot of unnecessary services...can prolly try to tweak more...its unbelievable how much XP needs to be tweaked and what a resource hog it is out of the box.

Do you think that 256MB is enough ?

(I really dont want to spend $90 on another ram stick right now....)

I could (however) also play from my 98/SE ?

hmmmmm

email me the screens, I'll convert them to jpg, at [email protected] I'll use a link to show the pics.

studdering, not going into detail, but try and increase your virtual memory from system properties or free up some disk space if you have very limited. Some games dont precache and therefore risk this studdering effect. Ram, cpu communicating constantly with each other along with other possible apps that may take alot of cach from sys strartup too.

It does look pretty cool. Is there a demo kicking around?
edit : the snow sceens remind me of LOTR and The Thomas Covenant series!

There are a few games I don't need demos for. This and Morrowind are both on that list, heh. I'm glad to see that it has been shipped to contest winners...that means it being available in stores is only an issue of producing enough to distribute. Time to buy some games again. ;)

If the "siegelets" I've seen are free (I'm pretty sure they are), and most are finished in some form, this could take off like Half-Life and it's mods, maybe even further as the engine is a lot more advanced for what it is intended.

ok im sending the pics as im typing this.

last night when i was in the goblin mines,

I found a grenade laucher a flame thrower a mini gun and a lightning gun.

It was really cool.
