Servers were down this morning. I'm sure they'll be up by this afternoon. I will create a Rage3D club when I get home today from work.

Quick mini review from doing several races

Graphics - 9/10
The game looks amazing. The lighting is amazing and once weather effects get added, I'm sure it will look even better. My only minor gripe is that the tracks can be a little bland in areas. The sense of speed is amazing too.

Sound - 9/10
The cars sound great. The muffling of the engines seems a little to extreme in cockpit mode though.

Gameplay- 8.5/10
Car handling is a great mix of sim and arcade. While I tend to prefer sim in my racing games, this is a good balance. You can definitely "pick up and play" this game and not worry about having to be 100% perfect in your driving to have fun. The AI seems a little brain dead. Opponents seem to just follow each other and you don't get much side by side racing outside of trying to pass the computer. I'm sure once I get to experience online races, the chaos will be amazing

Customization - 4/10
While this really isn't a big deal to me, it would be nice to at least select a car color instead of having to create your own custom car and remove decals. You only get the default manufacture color if you don't select a custom paint job you created. Why they went this route boggles my mind. Also there are no aids that can be turned on or off so everyone is on the same playing field. While this is great for someone like me who plays a lot of racing games, I can see this being frustrating for beginners or people who don't spend a lot of time practicing. Another issue here is the car list. There are no mainstream American cars in the game. This is a huge downer for me as I am a big fan of domestic cars and not a big fan of foreign cars. I would love to hop into a 2015 Mustang in this game, but sadly that is not an option here. Hopefully these issues are addressed in later patches/dlc.

Overall - 9/10
From what I've played so far, the game handles as good as it looks. While I am disappointed by the fact that the servers were down this morning, I can definitely see much potential. It's also disappointing that there isn't an open world here, but I respect the choice to go with dedicated tracks instead. I have zero regrets so far about purchasing this game with the season pass and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys racing games.
