Lots of bug fixes in this one:

Fixed Issues
Virtual Super Resolution may fail to enable on some Radeon RX 400 and Radeon RX 500 series graphics products.
HDR may fail to enable on some displays for QHD or higher resolutions.
Flickering may be observed on some Radeon RX 500 series products when using HDMI® with QHD high refresh rate displays.
AMD XConnect: systems with Modern Standby enabled may experience a system hang after resuming from hibernation.
Fast mouse movement may cause an FPS drop or stutter in Prey® when running in Multi GPU system configurations.
Adjusting memory clocks in some third party overclocking applications may cause a hang on Radeon R9 390 Series products.
Graphics memory clock may fluctuate causing inconsistent frame rates while gaming when using AMD FreeSync technology.
Mass Effect™: Andromeda may experience stutter or hitching in Multi GPU system configurations.
The GPU Scaling feature in Radeon Settings may fail to enable for some applications.
Error message "Radeon Additional Settings: Host application has stopped working" pop up will sometimes appear when hot plugging displays with Radeon Settings open.

Garbage is an understatement, these things only install the report wizard thing and the hdmi audio drivers. Tried five times using DDU and they still refused to install the full package.

Back to 16.11.5 for me.

Still eeking out that performance in Deus Ex Mankind Divided

Ya seems good here. The one problem I had since 16.11.5 was WOT crashing but that went away at some point I have no idea why... might've been a micro update from the game dev... These drivers seem solid so far on both now the R 290 and before on the RX 480.

Benched with my Fury X:

Also, TAA enabled.

Should probably lower a setting or two...... Can't wait for Vega!

Just found out I didn't use "max settings", so here's another run with everything maxed:

Running 16:9 1440p better than I thought it would be maxing out the game :3

Wasn't such a bad result yourself! Would be interesting to see how a RX580 would do it in 3440 x 1440. =)
Oh I tried to make a custom resolution but this is my first AMD card and I failed miserably and had to reinstall the drivers :D

If I can find an easy tutorial on the net I'll give it a go again.

Well after a small screwup and a desktop icon explosion here we are.

Nice! Thanks!

Not a bad result! Since Polaris 20 has 1792 fewer stream processors, half the compute units and 112 less TMU's than Fiji XT. Optimizations FTW!

Although, not so playable, but not for me neither...

I'll try a run at 2560 x 1440! Just for fun.

I'm impressed by the RX580 and how well it performs! I bought the Fury X for USD 795! RX580 8GB Aorus can be had for USD 335 where I live, but it doesn't have half the performance! In my mind it (RX580) should cost 495!

Conversion rates of today is used, I bought the Fury X in september 2015.

A Fury Pro owner here. I'm still keeping it and yes, 480/580 is pretty good, but not at higher resolution. I'm waiting for Vega. It should be twice faster or more over Fury. :D

But I'll upgrade to Ryzen first between in July-August or later than that.

Yeah. But I can't say that Deus Ex MK is playable with my X @ 3440 x 1440 with everything maxed. And if I can't game on my PC with everything at max, I could just game on my Xone or switch IMHO. The point of gaming on PC is to have that extra gfx over consoles!

I'm buying "fat"Vega myself when it's out. I'm curious if my good old 3770K @ 4.8 will be able to feed it adequately though :hmm:
