Hey guys, going from 17.3.3 to 17.5.2, I noticed a few things wrong
graphics wise.

First off, when I start the only game I have which is MWO, I get a message that the Cryengine does not recognize the video card, it is incompatible.
The games runs fine however.

When I use the system System Experience tool, it fails saying it cannot decode video.

Also, when I use video playback, the video reader says DX9 AllocatorPresenter is not available...

I did a clean install of 17.4.4 but those symptoms are still there...

HALP!

Last time DirectX "broke" on me it was a failing hard drive that corrupted the whole dx system and other files.

Try running sfc /scannow in an elevated command prompt.

Then look for the log

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...er-sfc.exe-program-generates-in-windows-vista

If it starts throwing out **** related to DirectX then there's your problem.

Thanks for the tip, I had no idea such a command existed.

However, my installation is squeaky clean so I guess I will send AMD an email tomorrow :)
