i just found out that the CNC Renegade demo is out today!! u can only get it at fileplanet for now and they havent updated the site yet but it will be there soon.

I downloaded it. played it for about 10sec...

the Graphics are terrible but for some reason the framerate on my radeon 64 vivo is terrible but maybe its because there are problems because doors, my gun and other stuff flickers from transparent to visible for some reason
 
Had nothing but framerate issues on my "crippled" machine. :mad: When I get my Celery working it'll shed some light... :)
 
Is there any way of enabling a visual fps counter? I remember someone posted beta screenies that had a fps counter on the upper right but so far i havn't a clue how to enable it :(
 
The crew over at tribalwar all said it was terrible. You have:

1. worse graphics than t2
2. worse netcode than t2
3. worse bugs than t2

That's saying volumes, cuz half the ppl there REALLY don't like t2.
 
Its terrable beacause Westwood KNOCKED TOGETHER (in every sense of the word) an engine that uses Direct3D, i think its written in Visual Basic or something judging its speeds lol

It flickers because they didn't use an established engine and its badly clipped so you can get players merging with other players
 
the game is alright, but just like WW2 online , when you can use tanks and vehicules AND be a person the lag is always TERRIBLE!!! I cant stand it anymore , im fed up with the game because of lags!!! Although there are many bugs, its alright. But its from westwood, so im not buying it ;)

I run it on 9009 and all graphics are superb :drool:
game runs good also , you can see FPS by pressing F8 then type FPS you will also see your ping, make sure to get ***7 version of this demo or newer :)
 
ya the game was ok it lagged like a mofo (come on u expect ppl to buy this game in this condition lol) and the graphics arent all that good.
im not buyin it, mostly because gamespy arcade banned me unjustly on the day of the demo release. whatever f them gsa sux anyway the game is kinda boring too.

the one thing i really dont like about it is how everything seems so blocky. look at the obelisk for example, i was expecting a smooth sleek laser but they gave us a rectangle with a red tip.

Your kidding, right? I mean the only games that had more bugs then T2 was WWII online and Anarchy Online. I still can't get T2 to work without the infamous UE error.
 
well i have the full game and i completed it in no time at all the ideas inplaces are good :)

the best bits of the game are the Ion Cannon, Air-strikes and the air unit implementation :) other than that it sucks and u find yourself reloading after every nod person u shoot :(
