Here are the settings you should really change for AMD cards using the catalyst control center:
click on the "video" tab on the left.
In the color section enable flesh tone correction so your people look realistic. Calibrate your display using something else.
For quality, enable all of this. Enable the demo mode to see the effect of the sliders and what looks best on your display. Some of these options do come at a small performance hit.
For global quality: Enable Smooth Playback: enabled by default. Uncheck this box and turn it off. This is one of those settings that does the opposite of what you would guess from the name. Makes your videos drop frames. This is THE most important setting.
now go to the gaming tab and ENABLE vsync under "frame rate control"
