I used one as a computer monitor for a year before my cat broke it and didn’t get burn in. Would get image retention but that would go away. This was an older one EG9100, I think they have come up with some better ways of fighting burn in since then.
My TV is mainly just used for movies and TV shows. We do have a Xbox360 (yes, 360) hooked to it, but it's used maybe twice a year. Most (decent) TVs have burn-in protection built in.
