If we've learned anything the former Ti models perform similar if not a tad better than vanilla top-tier (that's non-Ti) next gen.
But maybe 3xxx series will change that for all I know.

If they want 2080 Ti owners to buy they should add 30 percent. And hold on to the Ti version for 6 more months like they use to do.
them why would anyone but a 1400 3080 ti
the new 3080 non ti will be same speed as a 2080 ti or 10% faster at 4k at most like last time and most every time
2080 ti owners will have to shell out the bucks for a 3080 ti for 35% to 45% .
if navi 2x can give me 20% to 25% over a 2080 ti for cheaper i will buy that and may skip nvidia's altogether

I guess we shall see. Maybe its just the hype train, but all I hear are big numbers for performance increases.

and they both never fail to disappoint after all the hype
yup.. I try to tapper expectation on once hype trains start because it gets so bad especially with certain youtubers who spout garbage than blame the company when their BS turns out to be fake.

if that is close to true navi 2x better be a lot faster than the new game consoles

but they say ps5 will be about 499
Xbox Series X i have seen as high as 599
yeah it is expected that there will be two versions of the consoles at launch. a lower power digital only and a higher end with disc drive.

but they probably wanted to show off max possible rays and still get consistent framerate. Although way to low (FPS) for my taste.
