What's the best torrent client today that is obviously not uTorrent?

utorrent... :bleh:
But honestly ive find it the best for me, i havent had the need to try anything else. It helps protect me while being very stable and easy to use.

Same. if the OP isn't happy with the latest version, download an older version.

i'm still on utorrent 3.2.3, latest non crap version, and all ads and stuff can be disabled. just used to it, much like winamp.

I use Tixati when I need to catch up on TV shows that I didn't DVR. Seems pretty lightweight and no ad/malware.

qBittorrent, Deluge or Transmission.

I prefer qBT mainly because qBT is multiplatform, FOSS and written in C++ whilst Deluge is python which gives me a twitch in the wrong place.

I used to LOVE vuze back in 2007/2008 (or Azureus as it was called back then) but after that it became bloated and filled with ads so I moved to utorrent (I don't know if things changed by now though).

And last year I moved to qbittorrent for good since utorrent started pulling some very questionable crap:bleh:

I've been using Vuze since Azureus pretty much came out (before name change). I haven't been dealing with any ad or malware, but I pay attention when installing so I don't accidentally let any program install any third-party applications. My biggest issue with Vuze is that it's written with Java.

uTorrent is also a good client, a little simpler than Vuze, but has a lot of functionality. If you don't want the "malware" installed, you can opt out. Already read an article about it, and the crypto-currency miner it installs. There's a lot of good clients out there, but you have to be sure to download it from the official sites, and opt out of any third-party offers (like miners).
