Best short-depth 17" or 19" monitors?

Any idea who makes the best short-depth 17" and 19" monitors? I'm looking to replace my old 15" display, and while my deskspace is limited, I'm not ready to go with LCD just yet.

Some manufacturers make large displays with reduced distances from the screen to the back of the unit. Sometimes this architecture can result in distortion. So any idea who makes the best?

I'd have to say the Samsung 900SL although Samsung seems to have no page for this monitors. Might be discontinued.

Personally I don't like short-length monitors because they aren't as good of image quality (in all areas-color, focus, sharpness).

Just get a Diamondtron or a Trinitron. Sceptre has a good reputation of having very good and reliable monitors. CTX, Iiyama, Futura, NEC, the are all good.

Almost all manufacturers have reduced the size of their monitors. My 21" monitor occupies the room of a 19" monitor from just a couple of years back.

Sony lists the size of all their monitors on their website.
