The AF just died on my Sigma 150-500mm.
was shooting, was working great then all of a sudden, the next shot it wouldn't focus..
dosent even try to AF

I bought it off of someone, who bought it from henrys as an open box item, im not sure how long ago, so I don't think I have a warranty..

this has been my fav lens recently, and pissed me off that it just died like that

anyone ever delt with issues like this?
know what stuff like that costs to get looked at/repaired?

You could email Sigma and see what they say. Chances are they'll tell you to send it in to get an estimate, then you can give the go or no go on the repair.

Ask Henry's, they will have the serial on their system.

From there, they can reprint a purchase receipt.
Sigma are warrantied for 5 years...

Sigma are warrantied for [up to] 5 years...
Only for the original purchaser, and only for new lenses sold after July 1st, 2013 in the USA (otherwise it's 1 year for North and South America). Prior to that date you could get up to 4 years in the USA (3 years extended on top of the 1 year warranty). For the extended warranty to be valid the original purchaser has to register the lens within 30 days after purchase.

There's no way they'd cover this repair for free.
