ATi's new Catalyst driver

Hi!

Does anyone know if their new driver "brand" will be like the Nvidia detonator drivers. That even AIB cards ( Powered by ATI), will be able to use them, with out any problem/modification?

Hi, to be honest today is the first time I have aver read about the Catalyst drivers. I'm not exactly sure I know what they are but it looks like Catalyst is what ATI is gonna call their drivers from now on, ie. like Detonators. About it being able to install on 3rd party "Powered by ATI" cards, I don't think that's possible. One of my housemates has a Powercolor Radeon 8500 and gets some weird "Video driver not found" error when he tries to install them. That's about as much as I can tell you...

First take a look this first, for info on the new drivers.

Second, look here for installing on "Powered By ATI" vid cards.

Third (not to be a prick or anything) this is the technical support area.

I'm getting that crappy "Severe Error: INF file not found" rubbish too....IM SO PISSED OFF!
Losing the card and buying an NVidia one!
