I'm trying to update from my old Voodoo 3 to an ATI Rage 128, but when I install it, it's stuck in the lowest resolution and the lowest color settings. When I try to increase the resolution or color, it reboots to a black screen that never goes away. I downloaded the latest drivers from the ATI slot. Right now I have my old Voodoo 3 back in. Any ideas?

Voodoo 3 is a faster card, so I would stick with that. But if you insist, ensure that you uninstall the Voodoo 3 driver. If this is not possible, roll the driver back to the standard PCI. Shut down and replace the card. Attempt driver install. If the card does not work, it may possibly be defective. Have you tested with another computer?
