Bires New member Dec 7, 2013 #1 I broke in my 42" eight years ago and my 50" four years ago. I did the 24 hours of cycling-static color jpgs. Both still look great. My 60" ST60 will arrive Tuesday. Should I break it in first thing?

**G.I.BRO** New member Dec 8, 2013 #2 Cant remember way back when they first came out, but i dont think there's any need to break in a plasma these days. Just enjoy it.

Bires New member Dec 8, 2013 #4 After reading through AVS, I think I'll still do the color cycle for about 48 hours, like I did for the 50" .

MyTMouse Banned Dec 10, 2013 #5 Make sure you don't run it in torch mode, run everything full screen for the first few weeks. I ran break-in slides for the first few hundred hours but I still get image retention years later. Hopefully your won't be that sensitive
