Anyone have their S8 yet?

I approve of the car in the picture. Beats the snot out of the phone with the same name, shoves it down on the playground and takes its lunch money too.

Nowhere I looked did they have working S8 phones as demos... all props. The phones are too long/too narrow.

The S8 is a sexy beast, but nothing to lure me away from my iPhone 7+

If they hadn't botched the FP reader placement so badly, it would be something I would easily recommend for folks.

That said, it is a REALLY solid device otherwise and apparently is selling like hotcakes.

Patiently waiting to see what the next iPhone and Pixel bring to the table

Really enjoying it.

I don't really understand the finger reader issue. I seem to be able to hit it fine. I am on the S8+. I don't use it but when I reach for it to see how uncomfortable it is it...isn't.

The facial recognition is actually really nice and fast. I'll hit the power button to get to the unlock screen and start to read the notices and BAM! it logs me into the phone and I have to pull down the notification screen to see it. Kind of annoys me.

Ummm...what else....the long screen is actually really nice. Having that extra space is useful. I thought I would miss the physical button but I really don't. And it's like pressure sensitive or something so if you just touch it it doesn't turn it on. You have to apply pressure. It's cool.

I also pre-ordered so I wen't for the free VR headset with motion controller and also optioned for the 256 mSD card and AKG headset. Figured why not...

So far I'm impressed. Yeah.

Messed around with the baby sized one yesterday. The screen is nice so I cant wait til Apple gets theirs out

This is the biggest difference I see when I compare my Pixel with my wife's S8 -- use of screen real estate (like sazar previously mentioned). Phones are almost same size but the S8 screen is so much bigger.

That said, I have only had my Pixel for a couple weeks and if I wanted I could swap for an S8. Thought about it, decided I wanted to keep my Pixel anyways.

my buddies pixel is giving him really bad battery issues only 2-3 months into owning it. it went from fantastic battery life to not making it through a single day out of no where. he's super pissed.

i'd go to the S8 if you could return the pixel and not have to pay much

Thanks for the heads up but to be honest, my last 3 phones were samsungs and they all had the same problems with batteries. I am actually used to it. That said, I am really enjoying all day battery life and when it goes away I will be sad.

Spent a fair bit of time with both sizes at Best Buy today and I am really impressed with the hardware.

The footprint of the + is smaller than my 6s+ and the screen is so much bigger

Really loving this new direction for LG, Samsung, and hopefully the rest of the industry.

That is one thing I have to say Apple wins by miles. My 6S is over 6 months old now (close to 8, bought it in September to replace a water damaged Note5) and it will still go over a day without a charge. I'm not a super phone nerd that's attached to it 24/7 but I use a fair bit of spotify at the gym as well as social media, etc. Having to worry about the battery every two days has been such a pleasure coming from my Note5 that would go from 100% to 5% just on my work shift from 7-4.
