Any thoughts on Monoprice gear?

I'm in need of some new headphones soon, and I was looking at stretching to get some planars.

I've been eyeing these Monoprice M1060 headphones. They seem to review well, and they look like they would benefit from but don't immediately need a headphone amp (also on the wish list).

Anyone here happen to try these out?

My brother had some speakers from MP. I'm no audiophile but they sounded great.

Those cans at least *look* super cool.

If youre going to drop that kind of money your better option is to get some actual vetted headphones.
