I'm running W10TP 10041, via Windows update yesterday I got this:

DPV: 15.20.1012-150227n-180971E-ATI
2DV: 8.01.01.1478
D3D: 9.14.10.01109
OGL: 6.14.10.13374
Mantle DV: 9.1.10.0067
Mantle API: 98306
AMD CCCV: 2015.0228.335.6304

It also states in the Device Manager: AMD Radeon R9 200 Series (Engineering Sample - WDDM v2.0).

Me, too...;) HD 7850 2GB...kind of amusing, in HW my card is identified correctly but also says "engineering sample"...These are also listed as betas in the SW update section...

the delay was to be expected, if not certain. It's one of the many bad habits of this sorry excuse for a company.

But what I really fail to understand is what kind of crap these people are smoking if all they seem to see is hoards of customers at video stores worldwide lined up to buy a Freesync monitor

I also hope AMDMatt - a nice chap for sure - realizes how many people don't actually have any patience left to spare as far as AMD lack of support is concerned.

I have no absolute proof in my possession that "AMDMatt" speaks for AMD...;) Does anyone? Never heard of the guy before I saw this thread...

He is indeed legit, used to be LtMatt and was hired by AMD as a community manager.

His name is Matt Buck

While I understand the frustration, and believe that companies definitely need to do a better job communicating with their customers, I'm a little surprised at the anger. Stuff happens - and I'd rather have a delay than see a borked product / driver hit the street. Maybe I'm just not cutting edge enough to feel personally insulted by a delay and/or poor communication.

As long as Matt is better than AMD's choice over Gr33nGecko as a community manager. His crap attitude towards gamers was a huge turnoff for me and many others. Cost Sapphire and AMD alot of sales of high end hardware.

Anyway, When does the support for the HD5 series end in these drivers? Anyone know?

It's been over 1/3 of the year with no support for crossfire. Their lack of communication leads us all to believe the hold up has to do with free sync or some other marketing crap. Hence the anger. You don't leave your customers hanging with products that don't play new games for 4 months then delay the support to sell different products and expect people to not get pissed.

This is how stupid AMD is: They fail to understand their number one problem by a large margin is the image they have of providing crap driver support and being nothing but empty hype. This fiasco just serves to underscore that image. How hard would it have been to say, hey guys we understand it's been months with no support, but this is why they aren't out yet x and y are broke, we will keep you up to date? Or alternatively if x and y aren't broke and it is all just a wait to get free sync right they could say hey guys freesync still needs work, here are the "BETA" drivers so those with existing products can play games.

The AMD Catalyst 15.3 Beta Software Suite requires Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 to be installed. Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 is included in all Catalyst packages.
AMD Eyefinity technology is designed to give gamers access to high display resolutions. As pixel count grows, the graphics "horsepower" required to drive the displays at a reasonable frame rate can increase dramatically. Depending on the game and system configuration, users may notice texture corruption and reduced frame rates when running games in multi-monitor Eyefinity modes.

A temporary workaround is to enable Vsync in the game

me I can't believe they've had us waiting all this time for a feature that you need a new monitor for, with only a handful available anyway.
And to use their drivers as an excuse for us to buy new hardware is beyond lame.
A healthy attitude would have been to keep developing freesync support along regular fixes and profiles, of which there is, dare I say, abundant need .
Putting customers on hold for a feature 10% of us will use (generous estimate probably here) shows a pretty narrow minded strategy, especially when a remaining 80% is uber-pissed.

EDIT: bwaaa, was hoping for an updated Shadow of Mordor profile, runs like crap on my system with Crossfire enabled :(
ok, time to stop complaining and try the new stuff.
