So after checking the website nearly every day for the past 8-10 months, Anologue finally had a notice about incoming stock on their SuperNT. On the day of, it was actually difficult to grab one. The site was having issues, but it finally went through after hammering the Add to Cart button for a bit.
It finally arrived on Sunday! This thing is fantastic. It seems very high quality, and even the packaging was kind of fancy. Even came with a nice box you can fold up for Super Turrican 2 that it has pre-installed. Something for display.
I haven't spent a ton of time with it yet, but I did fire it up and test out Super Mario World and Chrono Trigger. It's super crisp, bright, and looks fantastic. There's lots of video options, options for various scan line effects, etc. It's a large display on my CX48, and while Super Mario World looks great, Chrono Trigger is SUPER pixely. Odd thing to say for these games, but it does give you the option of shrinking the video screen. I may play with that a bit to find a nice balance.
Also purchased the 8bitdo SN controller for this too. Should be here soon.
Will give more thoughts/impressions when I play with it a bit more.
