After finding and reporting a major bug in 14.9 WHQL drivers, AMD decided to thank me by gifting me a new GPU, an XFX 295X2 !

Massive thanks to Roy for the gift and Cy for getting it to me!

More pics will follow, right now I'm about to install this beast and hope my PSU is up to the task!

Win & P does nothing when Eyefinity is enabled, and Eyefinity 3.0 is their new feature of these drivers

That's really cool of them to send him such a card for finding such an obvious problem that's easy to fix. They were probably hoping he'd spread the word, get some good, free PR out of it.

If that's the case...they're right. :D

wish I got something for everything bug I reported in drivers in past 20 years ;)

... ya I know I still have the good feeling of hope someone may fix it

Omg, cave you totally shoulda just mailed him like this top secret box with just like some CD keys or something in it.

Be a box like "Engineering sample only under NDA, etc, etc" lmao.

Either way, props to AMD, and bigger props to Cave.

As long as y'all are in the giving mood, could you get AMD to make some sort of attachable bacon tray for the 290 series? We can put that heat to good use. They question is how do y'all like your bacon?

I prefer mine not so crispy...so I reckon I'll underclock mine. How many hertz you want on your bacon, jim? :D

don't you still have a gtx 480 grill master somewhere :p

Nope, but I have a dead FX 5900 Ultra and possibly a dead 6800. Fried the Ultra, the 6800...I'm not really sure if it's dead, could have been the PSU. I hadn't thought about trying it in one of these new rigs, but I doubt these motherboards have an AGP slot.

Would make for a good backup card for troubleshooting or emergencies if nothing else. :)
