    • 3rd party tools that rely on our ADL SDK for detecting ROPs count will incorrectly report 64 ROPs.
    • Lower than expected performance may be observed while playing Assetto Corsa Competizione on Radeon™ RX 9000 series graphics products.
    • Intermittent system or application crash may be observed while pressing Alt-Tab during gameplay on some AMD Radeon™ Graphics Products such as the Radeon™ RX 6000 Series.
    • Intermittent system or application crash may be observed while using multiple high refresh rate (+120Hz) monitors with HDMI connections.
    • Windows Update may overwrite the installed AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition with an older version of the graphics driver on Radeon™ RX 9000 series graphics products.

  • AMD Radeon™ Developer Tool Suite (RDTS) update with support for AMD Radeon™ RX 9000 Series graphics cards is available now. Learn more about all the latest updates to our developer tools here.
  • AMD FSR 3.1 is now available in over 110 available and upcoming games. Update your games with the AMD FidelityFX™ SDK to have our latest technology, including AMD FSR 4 support.
  • Stay tuned to the GPUOpen news feed and social channels for the latest updates for developers.

  • System crash may be observed due to a memory leak when using SteamVR on some AMD Radeon™ Graphics Products, such as the Radeon™ RX 9000 series. Users experiencing this issue are recommended to turn off Motion Smoothing in SteamVR settings.
  • Performance logging notifications from AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition™ may appear while using the Right Alt + L hotkey if the Microsoft® Windows® display language is not English.
  • Intermittent crash of AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition™ may be observed while playing Marvel's Spider-Man 2 or Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart with AMD Image Inspector enabled. Users experiencing this issue are recommended to disable AMD Image Inspector as a temporary workaround.

This one came out soooo early in the morning. Nicely done

I'll giver a install later tonight. But I think this was more about being all set for AC:S and Last of US part 2 coming early next month.

Theres also more info on RT and other improvements in DX12 in April makes for some interesting reading:

Starting with DXR 1.2 (DirectX Raytracing), Microsoft is introducing two new technologies which include OMM (opacity micromaps) and SER (shader execution reordering), which will help deliver huge performance boosts.

  • Opacity micromaps significantly optimize alpha-tested geometry, delivering up to 2.3x performance improvement in path-traced games. By efficiently managing opacity data, OMM reduces shader invocations and greatly enhances rendering efficiency without compromising visual quality.
  • Shader execution reordering offers a major leap forward in rendering performance — up to 2x faster in some scenarios — by intelligently grouping shader execution to enhance GPU efficiency, reduce divergence, and boost frame rates, making raytraced titles smoother and more immersive than ever. This feature paves the way for more path-traced games in the future.

DXR 1.2 aims to deliver up to 40% improvements in performance during complex scenes as demoed within Remedy's Alan Wake 2 which was showcased at GDC with the latest tech while delivering substantially detailed raytraced visuals.

I'm seeing a nice improvement with Sony's PSVR2 on pc with these drivers and the release of Sony's 3.0 VR Steam app.

Thanks to CCleaner I cleared up the AMD Update error. Turns out the culprit was the AMD Streaming Audio Device driver version 1.0.0.14 according to CCleaner Win 11 pro was hanging on to the one with a signing date of 29.04.2024 updated to the same version with the signing date of 05.06.2024 installation failure nag gone.

AMD driver update process is utter shite now, used to be able to option in or out and get updates but alas now some sort of crap "manage updates" thing its no longer an option to opt in or out of these type of updates.

Sort it out.

I mean you can no?

Open AMD Software > Hit the Gear/Cog in the upper right > System > Manage Updates > un-tick "Automatically keep AMD software up to date"
