AMD Radeon 16.6.2 driver out

@bittermann
Yeah I haven't used it until now as it wasn't doable on my 55 inch 4K TV since it was already too high a resolution. I have a Asus Freesync 144Hz 2560 x 1440 monitor to test with now so I can try it at last.

@ Evileh
I just noticed that the colour temperature is only available for Displayport not HDMI for some odd reason so that could be why you don't see it.

Yeah i'm on hdmi and win 10

Does anyone else have this problem?

When I go to AMD's driver page only half the page comes up and the rest just keeps trying to load. Seems to do this on every page in fact. None of the pages ever fully load on AMD's site for me. And this has always happened. So weird.

So my performance in the Witcher 3 is even better now with these drivers. It's nuts I wasn't able to run this game in 1440 with hair works on for the life of me and after blood and wine these drivers and my oc's on my 290 it runs amazing. It's incredible. I should see what my actual frame rate is.

Well I had a crash in the witcher 3, not sure what happen really, computer just restarted out of nowhere with no errors or blue screens or anything and started back up just fine by itself. I will keep playing and see if it does it again. Hope it's the drivers and not my PSU shitting the bed this will be the second psu my 290 has killed if thats the case.

Do you use hairworks at all in that game?

yeah at 8x tess

I can't get the game to run well at all at 1440p. Not at all. With hairworks off it is better, but it is like the dude is running in mud, unless I go to one card or limit frames to 30 fps. If i use 60 fps it will stay at 60 fps, but it's like mud, and feels like it occasionally catches up on frames. It is weird.

No idea why that first one isn't loading. But it's a picture of the settings.

hairworks doesn't do anything if you have hairworks AA at 0x, afaik

that also does not look like ultra details

and VSR/DSR 1080p->1440p is not the same as native 1440p

And yes hairworks does work, there's just no anti aliasing on it. It goes from blocky normal hair to stringy hair works hair... Really don't care if you believe me or not it's whatever.

Oh and VSR is the same performance wise the game is being rendered at 1440 and then downsampled to 1080. It is rendering the same amount of pixels before it down samples.

I'd check your ini file to make sure it's not set to read-only

Not trying to call you out

Also, from experience, games ran better when I was downsampling from 4K to my 1080P monitor than they do on my native 3440x1440 monitor. Take that how you'd like.

it does actually work with 0xAA, I just checked for laughs, doesn't look very good either imo.

interesting. you'd think it wouldn't do anything without the tessellation since that's basically what hairworks does
