What is the difference between the Athlon and the Duron??

I am looking at building a new system with either a 800MHz, 900MHz, or 1GHz and do not understand the difference between the processors.

I know all of the debate for above 1GHz, but I am choosing not to go past that...

I am looking at either an AOpen AK73, Asus A7V133, IWill KK266 for the mobo.

It will have 256MB PC133, Radeon LE, SB Live, 40 GB HD (7200) and it will run Windows 2000 SP1.

Duron has 64K of L2.

if you end up going with an Athlon...try and get an AXIA..
better overclockability..
