Important Notes
AMD is currently working with Firaxis to resolve an issue where the interactive and visual elements of the mouse cursor can become offset. If you encounter this issue, the following workaround is available:
Go to Windows Settings and adjust Text Scaling
Right-Click the Desktop
Select Screen Resolution
Make Test and Other Items Larger or Smaller
Set 100% Default

AMD is working with Firaxis to resolve an issue where graphics stuttering may be observed under high map zoom and high image quality settings.
Multi-monitor gaming in Sid Meier's Civilization®: Beyond Earth™
Sid Meier's Civilization®: Beyond Earth™ does not support multi-monitor configurations. Launching the game in such configurations may cause the game to hang.

Multi-GPU in Sid Meier's Civilization®: Beyond Earth™
Sid Meier's Civilization®: Beyond Earth™ presently supports a maximum of two graphics cards in Mantle. If you are using more than two graphics products with Mantle for this game, it is required that disable the extra linked adapters through Windows device manager.

This seems to be only for GCN users.. the rest of us can pass this up.

BTW, why doesn't AMD ever list the versions of each component ?

Sure would make things easier.

S(alute)!

Had to disable ULPS with these drivers before I could set highest supported refresh rate of 121Hz on my ViewSonic V3D241wm 24" screen. It was stuck on 60Hz before disabling ULPS, on any resolution. Otherwise seem to work fine.

Does this look correct for the beta :

Driver Packaging Version 14.301.1006-141009a-176676E
Provider Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
2D Driver Version 8.01.01.1423
2D Driver File Path /REGISTRY/MACHINE/SYSTEM/ControlSet001/Control/Class/{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}/0000
Direct3D Version 9.14.10.01061
OpenGL Version 6.14.10.13085
Mantle Driver Version 9.1.10.0045
Mantle API Version 98304
AMD Catalyst Control Center Version 2014.1009.1225.20420
AMD Audio Driver Version 9.0.0.9905

both the CCC and Raptr tell me the new beta is available but not installed.
I've redownloaded and installed 4 times even used DDU.

Compared to 14.9 release, All numbers are newer versions except for the 2d and direct3d drivers, which are the same. So yeah, looks about right. The focus of the drivers are on Mantle and both driver and api are new and there's an updated opengl driver. CCC is a newer version too. About covers the release notes.

Think I'll pass on these myself. Don't own Civilization: Beyond Earth and most of the other changes have to do xfire and I'm running a single card. Happy for the xfire guys. I know they've been waiting for some goodness.

i have 2x Asus 290x Dcu II Cards in my machine and every driver since catalyst 14.4 whql have given me Black screen under installation or after, it has also given me system hangs with Windows telling me system has recovered from display drivers hanged.

now they write this in release notes.

406997]: Upgrading from previous 14.4 Catalyst™ drivers with dual AMD Radeon™ R9 295 in CrossFire™ may cause a black screen or system hang

haing 2 of my Cards should be the same as one 290x could this be the same thing and fix?

I haven't tried these yet in my primary game pc(i7-4790K, Z97, R9-290X, Win7-x64), but I installed them on the PC in my living room(i7-3770, Z77, HD7950, Win7-x64) that's hooked up to the home theater via hdmi so I could try continuing my Civ:BE game, and these drivers caused the system to hang and random times, unrelated to gaming. Sometimes when I was watching a video file, sometimes when I was just navigating through folders. The screen would lock in the kind of pattern you get when a video signal is disrupted, I'd get a flat tone from the speakers, and I'd have to hit the reset button to get the system back. I decided to uninstall these and go with the 14.9b1's until I hear something(someone else on another forum reported a similar issue, but only one other person that I've seen thus far). I probably won't bother installing these on my primary game box, since Civ:BE already runs quite smoothly under Mantle with the Beta1's, I'll just wait and see what shakes out.

*edit nm thought Beyond Earth you could select mantle or dx like BF4 didn't realize there were 2 .exes

i spent a few hours last night trying to figure out how to make a shortcut.

no dice.

i dont know the steam ID of the mantle .exe to change the auto shortcut.

tried a few launch options, no dice.

Using the auto shortcut seems to popup a launcher asking which version to use for some, but not for me and many others.

there only two options.

1. run from steam library (context menu on game)
2. Run directly from the game directory (you cant make a shortcut,it just defaults back to DX)

Either Valve or Firaxis need to fix this, its super annoying.

Thanks man, you saved me from reinstalling again.
I had tried the Mantle .exe and was still seeing the Afterburner overlay.
I'll just use the right-click from steam for now. :)
