Alt Tabbing in Games...

I searched the forums a little bit on this issue but didnt really find what I wanted also asked in the radeon 8500 forums

I can't alt tab out of most games other people can. Half-Life to name one. It seems to get out of the game and change to desktop res alright but wont ever get back into the game. Has been suggesting this is not a Driver problem but rather a setting of some sort.

only 'tweak' type things im running is a refresh fix for radeon cards.

Any suggestions/help with this problem would be greatly appreciated!

Try turning Page-Flipping off in the OpenGL section of the ATI drivers. Its a problem with Half-life that you are referring to. In Counter-Strike if you leave while playing (IM or Alt-Tab) you won't have sound when you come back in.
