Alice in WinXP

I just upgraded to WinXP (over 98-- yeah, yeah, I know, will do fresh install soon) and fired up Alice for the 1st time in a while. The textures were flashing and the health and weapons bar were all fubarred. Is there some tweak I can try before I try un and re-installing it? Does it not like Aniso or Smoothvision, e.g.?
 
Do you get the small lines in the options screen and in the text screens??? That happened on my 8500, and I wanted to see if it was just me. Thanks!
 
i dont know if you have it on, but try turning clear type off, it seems to cause a lot of image corruption problems in some games

I know this is no help, but I ran Alice (and finished it, heh) without any issues. No funny lines, flashing textures, etc here.

It's called "aperture grill", flat crt monitor boy.;)
 
Must be what it was Soul Rage, tried it on my Sony 19", no problems. Still I can deal with these little lines to enjoy the 21" .22 dot pitch beauty.
