A game that could really use Tru-Form......

Theif2. This game has some really blocky looking gaurds and what not and I think this game would look pretty damn good if the models were just a bit smoother

So I would like out the question out to NitroGL and Humus and ask can it be done? Could the Dark Engine be modified to use Tru-Form?

Me being into graphics over gameplay, the game could sure use a dose of trueform. Hope they can add it in for some extra maps someday. And they can always have it for a Thief 3 if there will be one. I didn't get the full game Thief 2 because the demo was too blocky. And remember lots of players getting hyped up about how cool Thief 2 would be in the supposedly improved visuals department?

Going futher back in the series, I admit I liked the gameplay in Thief 1, but I mostly played it to try to find some cool looking levels, because there were no level cheats back then when it first came out. Anyway a few areas in the city at night looked ok in Thief 1, but overall the textures weren't so great. And then there was the blockiness too. And I didn't realize Thief 1 was only 8 bit color until after I finished the game, lol.

Do NOT hold your breath for a TruForm patch for the Thief series, they were made by Looking Glass, which im sorry to say has passed into "Game Over" land. Maybe someone with some programming skills will give it a whirl.

Why bother when Thief 3 isn't all that far away? I'd rather have the developers continue work on the new one (I think the Deus Ex guys are doing it) then stop to create a patch for the old one.
