Hi all.

I just bought a Diamond 750 USB for use in a Vista basic laptop (2gb, dual core, 2ghz, 160gb hdd, Intel 4500 graphics)

Anyway, there is no media centre program on my laptop.

The 750 drivers installed fine (had to download the newest from amd) then I used the total media 3.5 program and found 12 analog channels. I scanned again and found 6 digital channels.

What I can't do is to get the total media program to show the analog and digital channels in the channel lineup at the same time. One or the other list is available but not both.

After doing some reading, I'm concerned the 750 can't switch back and forth between the two types of signals. I'm worried it has to stay in one mode or be reset somehow to access the other mode.

Does anyone know what the story is?

The help from arcsoft is useless.

I'm not sure about the 750, but with my 650 PCI I have the same problem. It's one or the other, but not both. Others, much more savvy than me have reported some workarounds, but I can't get them to work with my card. This half analog - half digital broadcasting is really a pain.

An input called DVB-T or something like that has appeared in totalmedia after a reboot. Of course nothing is found when it scans for channels as it's for other regions

I have about a week of playing around with Arc Soft's Total Media 3.5 ( for Asus) it's slightly different than the version that shipped with your ATI (Diamond) USB HD 750 Tuner. My version does not have the " TO GO " from the main menu that has " TV" , " Pictures", "Radio", "Video", "Setup".

So when you are watching TV what happens when you click the AV/source (far right button) on the white menu bar. The menu that hides or appears as you move your mouse around.
And then change the source from Analog ? to the ATSC Antenna signal?
Does it stop the tuner from working or what happens.
There is a bit of an issue because (at least so far) i can't find a way to change the source without first starting the TV so that maybe a problem for you with the Single hybrid tuners.

As to the channel guide and listing. Nope it seems to operate the same way that the old catalyst media center (cmc) did. Seperate lists of channels. (Which actually can be a positive). For example is you switch from NTSC, ATSC OTA, and Clear QAM... with Windows media center this would be a LONG PITA to scan search & re program each time. With Total Media 3.5 you can jump between ATSC OTA & Clear QAM without issues (other than changing the antenna's input from Cable Coaxial F-type to and antenna.

This doesn't apply to you guys but in old CMC you were able to combine into a Picture in Picture (multiview). The Asus card I have has two tuners on it and on the box they specify PiP and show the software doing this but so far it escapes me as how to do this...
