64 Bit Chrome Browser available for DL

a heads up: battfield browser plugin wont work with 64bit. reverting back to 32bit will keep it broken too.

Why do you need to revert? My 64-bit install had no impact on my 32-bit install and both are usable (albeit I don't use that plugin you talk about).

Seems faster although people think putting 93 in their car that takes regular makes it faster, I feel that maybe this is the same thing.

Don't tell my dad that. He insisted on paying for my gas on a trip (years ago) but wanted to put 93 in my bike that is tuned for 87. A fight ensued and I did not gas up with 93 octane.

I have an SSD and chrome seems instant as is, but I'll give this a go. Thanks for the heads up Sazarino.

What's the install location/and or version for 64 bit vs 32 bit? The installer just kind of did its own thing without asking any questions and I have no idea if I'm on the 32 bit or 64 bit install.

Is 37.0.2041.4 m the 64 bit version? I'm on W7 so I can't just check task manager. It's a different version # than what I had previously that's all I know.

This is the current version for the Dev build:

Version 37.0.2041.4 dev-m

So it looks like you may have the correct build, but I don't know if you have the 64-bit version installed, or what the regular version build is :)

All my systems are running the beta at the moment.

Had to stop using it simply because the BF4 Battlelog plugin doesn't work on it. Didn't seem any different installed on an SSD anyways.

The Canary icon is gold, and it doesn't open as your default browser.

I changed the registry to make it open as default. So stupid that they take the natural ability to make it default out.

This is a massive difference for me -- was having problems with 32 bit version here taking too long to even start loading tabs. Thanks for the post.

So far I say it is much faster. Elements on a page basically pop in instantly with only a small delay. Will have to use it longer to see how well overall it performs.

New update a day or two ago to 39.xx on the developer channel build made things a bit unstable.

Uninstalled and moved to the beta build, everything is good now :)

So excited for this to become mainstream! That way every tab can use up an excess of 4GB of my system's memory!

*shrieks like a overly-excited school girl*

yeap the 64-bit version is definantly faster with everything
Love it!

And I havent run into any problems with it yet
Using it at home and work comp

I don't notice a speed difference. You guys took the placebo.

It feels a bit snappier on my macbook, we shall see what it's like on my PC at home. Youtube seems to be chugging less on 64bit than it does on 32bit but I could just be imagining things.
