4.13.9044 + CP_6102 fix

Risky

I found a different way to make the Control Panel 6102 setup fine after installing the 9044's: Go to the folder where you have extracted the cpanel_6102 and then edit the Cp_9x.reg. Replace every occurence of "04295" with "02628". Then run setup and you will get the new D3D and OGL Tab functionality. I think this fix will work with all OS's. If someone could try it out and post here ...
I guess this way we can make the cpanel 6102 work with future "leaked" driver sets as well. Just check the C9_0XXXX.ini file and replace the original "04295" number with the "0XXXX" number.

I have Win98se and after installing ATI Control Panel you don't get the new OpenGL and D3D Tabs you can turn them on manually by adding the new options to activate them in the registry.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ATI Technologies\Desktop\0000]
New3D=HEX:01,00,00,00 (Activates new D3D Panel)
NewOGL=HEX:01,00,00,00 (Activates new OpenGL Panel)

Reminder:
The "0000" key may differ, it could be 0001, 0010 etc.

How do the 9044s look compared to the 9043s?
Well the big step for me was from 9039 to 9043 and that was in 2d. The Rage3d logo in Netscape 7.0 is looking really great, DVD and DivX playback is fine and CS and Warcraft III are running fine (both in ogl). My desktop is looking better than ever.
