I wonder if they've come up with some new tech. We could definitely use more competition in the dGPU sector..
Didn't Nvidia buy the 3dfx name as well? Is this some kind of Nvidia tech resurrected under the 3dfx name?
That what I thought as well. Something must have changed or this is completely bogus.
*edit* The more I read though, it doesn't look like nVidia may have actually bought 3DFX outright. Looks more like they bought all their IP. Which may or may not have included being able to use the 3DFX name. Which might also explain why nVidia never used it.

It says that Jansen Products, also an alleged investment firm, that we couldn't find in any database of registered firms, is now the owner of 3dfx Interactive brand and its trademarks. A simple Google search points towards a Belgian building firm, not an alleged San Francisco investment company..
