Thanks to poster "X" ,we're down to two problems. Problem one was solved by letting Windows manage my swap file. I had 256 MB RAM and a permanent swap file of 128 MB. "X" detailed that Ark requires 400 MB to run. Thanks, again, "X"...
1) SOLVED ATI Ark 1.1 won't run. Loads about 60% then pops back to Windows desktop with no error messages.
I've still got these two issues crying out for solutions or further questions...
2) Desktop Icons won't change from 256 colors to greater color depths.
3) Can't capture ANYTHING. Displays image on TV, but if I capture MPG, TV app locks after 30 secs. If I capture AVI, TV apps stops normally, but there is no capture file to be found.
I know someone out there has the solution and I'd appreciate any assistance. Currently I'm running:
3063 Drivers (dated 9-15)
Windows 98 (NOT SE or ME)
Pentium III 800EB
256MB RAM
Intel D815EAAL motherboard with imbedded 100MB LAN connection.
SB Live! PCI soundcard
Adaptec 3920 SCSI PCI card
Belkin 1394 / LiveWire PCI Card
USB hub with:
MultiTech modem, AIP
Tek HyperPen digital tablet
Olympus Smart Media reader
Roland UA-100 digital audio / MIDI controller (not active)
Any and all assistance greatly appreciated. I wanna see this puppy do EVERYTHING it's supposed to do...
Regards,
Page Hite
