Pretty decent driver so far, second cards fan properly downclocks instead of staying around 1050 rpm all the time.

First driver since the 16x series that doesn't lose it's displayport link multiple times a day on my old monitor. Been an issue since moving from Win 7
*Edit*
Only negative so far is coming out of sleep the monitor can get stuck at 640x360 resolution. Turning the monitor on and off fixes it, cycling through the connection options does not.
At first I had thought it was the card coming out of sleep stuck in a low power state.

Known issue #1 has been there for the last few versions. If you need this driver you may be able to work around the annoying issue by disabling HDCP in the displays/specs/override section. Of course doing that might cause other issues with copy protection.
I don't have that option so I use 18.3.2 or 17.12.2

These give my card a high pitched hum (almost like VRM squeel, but fainter and "finer") when monitor goes to sleep and lasts even when I move the mouse. It dissapears when I type my password to login...

Just out of curiosity did anyone else try the 18.5.2 driver that became available at the same time as these ? Release Notes
Not the older 18.5.2 beta.Release notes.
Radeon gaming driver vs Radeon pro driver I don't think those are the same thing :\

One is for the professional cards and one is for the gaming cards as far as I know. The differing fixed and known issues reflect that.

I installed 18.8.1 Aug 17. It worked better with overwatch than with old 18.8.1 Aug 3 which is I encountered a random blinking black screen during overwatch gameplay. I don't know what they did to 18.8.1 driver. I'd like to keep it.

I know, some peeps don't like clicking links so I wanted make sure everyone knew there were two 18.5.2 drivers.
It was just odd that the 18.5.2 showed up as an upgrade for the 18.7.1 the same time as the 18.8.1. Especially since both of the 18.5.2's were released back in May.

Awesome AMD obviously didn't like the fan issue being fixed so they brought it back with the re-released 18.8.1 second card idle is now 1072 rpm and sounds like 1500 :p

got issues with this one in Armored Warfare and War Thunder. in WT it would freeze on entering map and in "garage". for AW it would just stop responding. installed 18.5 and WT runs normally, AW same

Last I checked I thought armored warfare was a dead game. Anyone playing it now? World of Tanks has gone too casino RNG for me.

It seems the August 17. 18.8.1 driver update fixed the high pitched "humming" from my card when monitor sleep.

Nevermind, it's still persistent. Although it doesn't happen at first login screen anymore (after boot), rather it happens after first login and then if monitor sleeps/locks.
