Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 17.12.2 Highlights
Resolved Issues
  • Radeon Settings Video tab may disappear on some hybrid graphics system configurations after a reboot
  • AMD XConnect™ Technology enabled system configurations may experience an intermittent system hang on hot plug.
  • GPU Display scaling may fail to enable when desktop resolution is set very low.
  • Region recording in Radeon ReLive will continue to record when the region window is closed.
  • 3x1 display configurations may experience instability during Eyefinity creation or during gaming.
  • Ark Survival Evolved™ may experience heavy flickering or corruption when enabling the performance metrics overlay in Windows®7.
  • A black screen may be experienced when running full screen games on the Samsung CF791 Radeon FreeSync enabled display.
  • Netflix™ playback in a browser or via UWP application may experience stutter.
  • Radeon Overlay performance metrics may appear and disappear intermittently during updates.
  • Color Temperature controls may change colors on the incorrect display when using the reset option.
  • Star Wars™: Battlefront II may experience graphical corruption in some areas of the game.
Known Issues
  • Radeon Settings may experience a hang when enabling AMD CrossFire with three or more graphics products.
  • Trimming videos may fail to create a thumbnail if the video contains non-English characters.
  • Flickering may be observed on the performance metrics overlay when Enhanced Sync is enabled on some Radeon FreeSync connected displays.
  • Performance Metrics Overlay may hang if enabled when cycling display power off and on.
  • The "Reset" function in Radeon Settings for Display, ReLive, and Video may not work as intended when using Radeon Settings in certain regional languages.
  • Radeon WattMan may intermittently fail to load profiles for Radeon RX Vega on the global Radeon Wattman page.
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider™ may experience an intermittent application hang during gameplay.
  • A random system hang may be experienced after extended periods of use on system configurations using 12 GPU's for compute workloads.
  • The GPU Workload feature may cause a system hang when switching to Compute while AMD CrossFire is enabled. A workaround is to disable AMD CrossFire before switching the toggle to Compute workloads.
Package Contents
The Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 17.12.2 installation package contains the following:
  • Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 17.12.2 Driver Version 17.50.07.01 (Windows Driver Store Version 23.20.15007.1005)

There was also an update for AMD Link today, addressing some stability and connectivity issues btw.

I saw the update available in Radeon Settings selected express install. No video stuttering at all with Chrome watching xfinity streaming, Netflix app simultaneously no less.No annoying mouse pause either.
FAH seems to be running 2c cooler fan speed is adjusting properly resulting in the TPF of this wu 9415 (1789, 0, 676) from 1:47 to 1:45

Still need to run some benchmarks/do some gaming but judging from the results so far these could be the best drivers AMD has released this year atleast on my old rig :p .
The only thing I've noticed is in Wattman while the left pane displays temp, fan speed correctly the actual graph is messed up showing the fan speed 0 and the temp as 1020c..

Nice Christmas present Thanks AMD Awesome job.

17.12.2 is unresponsive here. Radeon Settings doesn't open at all, 'clean install' or no. Going back to 17.12.1 !

I had all kinds of issues with all drivers after 17.7.1 after which, it seems either MicroSoft or AMD made some revolutionary changes in Display.

With the latest 17.12.2 however, all my issues seem to be fixed except for one major issue that presisted across ALL drivers after 17.7.1

Only the preferred display monitor goes to sleep after 3 minutes as I set it in Windows 10 settings. The other 2 monitors just go black with backlight still working and power LED in green while middle monitor sleeps fine with fully power off and LED orange.

They don't go to sleep normally and lose signal as they are supposed to.

The GPU still feeds them some kind of a signal.

I am using 1x DP-DVI and 2x DVI connections to my 3 monitors and tried using 1 HDMI connection instead of one DVI and it still has the same issue, Plus GPU VRAM works at full speed which overheats the card and the whole system and draws much power at idle.

Installed.

I still have the issue with when the screen goes to sleep my card shows constant 40-50% usage. It goes back to only one LED when I wake up the screen.

Is AMD using my card for mining when idling??

Lately i seen Bitdefender 2018 anouncing me for blocking miners add-ons when navigating on torrent sites mostly...My antivirus is on real-time protection. If it wasn't for it i would plenty of homework to do in clean-up mannualy...

Yeah, I'm also using Bitdefender 2018. I don't navigate on free torrent sites. I've testet the drivers. Uninstalled and let Windows Update install drivers, no "problem" when monitor goes to sleep, the card is idling (tachyometer shows one LED).

When I install 17.12.1 or 2 the GPU tachyometer shows/lights up 4 LEDs when monitor sleeps. Only differences when testing is driver, nothing else (no format in between testing, not installing other software, not visiting any webpages, just uninstalling/reinstalling drivers.)

apparently HBAO full corruption is not fixed for Battlefront II. Would say I'm waiting for .3 but most likely it will be 18.1.1
