17.10.1 out ...

TBH looks like it’s been released for just the two game profiles. No Vega fixes or improvements. Raja has said writing the drivers for Vega was tough but it seems like they’ve only got one man and his donkey doing the driver updates and I think the donkey is the team leader  With Raja not there maybe Susie Su isn’t interested in either Vega or RTG the signs don’t look promising!

They've had a major release in December every year for the past couple of years if I remember right? So maybe they're holding back until that release?................

Who knows by then they might even have a Vega 64 AIB card available but I wouldn’t bet on it  This is the fourth driver release (i think) since Vega launched and this brings no Vega fixes or improvements only multi-gpu profiles for the 0.0001% of people who need these profiles. What about DSBR and the other features that as a Vega owner I’m not even sure are working or enabled? Two months in and it’s still up in the air what is and isn’t working/enabled. This is what AMD should be concentrating on not pi**ing about with multi-gpu profiles that the majority of people don’t care about. Who knows by December Vega could be completely dead in the water

It wouldn’t be surprising if Susie Su is doing a root and branch review of RTG to see if it really is worth supporting going forward. AMD have some hefty loans maturing in the next 12 to 18 months and they really need to decide a strategy going forward that keeps AMD a viable company and maybe selling off RTG becomes an attractive choice going forward.

OhGod! Maybe the age-old Samsung rumors are true?...

I think they benefit from RTG in other areas though, so I don't think they'll be selling it off as a first-choice.

I did install these and, it's the first set in ages that I got a "Windows SmartScreen has prevented...." message when attempting the installation.

I got unexpected crashes in a game that didn't crashed before named
Aporia: Beyond the valey.I uninstalled them and installed 17.9.3 and now the game is stabilized.

Yeah, the 17.10.1's are a bit unstable I feel.

I.e: running youtube in fullscreen with freesync on makes the display either show "inverted" colors or just go on/off. "Hard resetting" the monitor fixes the problem. Or disabling Chrome's hardware acceleration.
