16.8.3 drivers out

Hmmm, I feel that Radeon Settings is much more responsive in this release.
 
Looks like the freesync bug is rearing it's ugly head again. Just played about half an hour on BF1 beta and when I went back to the desktop the freesync counter was a stuttering mess. Launched firefox and it was all over the place. Happened once yesterday as well. It seems to happen after I've been gaming and IIRC after I've also set the refresh monitor in-game to 144.

Come on guys lets see if we can sort this out otherwise I'm back to 17.3 again dammit.
 
Freesync is definitely borked in these drivers after you do some gaming. Come on Spyre how can silly things like this get through testing? Uninstalled ran DDU and reinstalled 17.2 and monitor driver so will have a test to see if everything is back to normal.

Becoming very quickly disillusioned with new drivers from AMD. AMD are already massively behind in hardware they can't afford to fall too far behind in driver software to. Things don't look too great on all fronts ATM.
 
Back on 17.2 and no freesync issues after gaming so all is well. Come on AMD you need to up your game in the drivers department because you're getting you're ass kicked by Nvidia with the hardware.

Someone needs to tell Susie Su to sort this S**t out or by the time Zen or Vega comes along they'll be no one who really cares because we'll all have gone to Nvidia or Intel. F**k**g shame on you is all I can say really and I'm an AMD supporter but you're really trying my patience which I have none.
 
well installed those drivers and yet the drivers still claim there are newer (same) drivers ...

I'm stuck on 16.7.3 in the identification version thing :hmm:
 
No problems with 16.8.3 except when every time I shut down. Its blinking the black screen, but that's not a big deal. It doesn't bother me at all.
 
Seems to be causing some hang ups when I try to play the BF1 Beta. Game freezes up on launch and I have to wait a minute or 2 before it lets me Alt+F4 and try again. Game usually launches on the second try.
