    Windows Defender sucks

It took Windows Defender 5 minutes to scan a ****ing downloaded text file. That's 500 bytes. I'm sorry, but whoever wrote the the piece of **** scanning engine should be fired. Out of a cannon. Into outer space. There is no excuse for this. I don't care if it's some asshat college graduate from...

Trying to browse the site, and it looks like all the items are messed up. For example, search for ASUS Radeon R9 380 Now search for N82E16814121963 :bleh:

    GOG is awesome

I meant to order the Deluxe version of Xulima, but ordered the standard version by accident. Not only did they not give me any trouble, but they upgraded me to the Deluxe version for free. Now that is unheard of customer service in this day and age.

    Late to the LGA771 party

So I had a LGA775 board sitting around which used to run a C2D. Now I could do the smart thing and sell the board on eBay, but I ran across some articles at delidded.com that showed how to mod the socket to accept 771 Xeons. I managed to get 3 E5450s for cheap with the requisite socket adapters...

    Closed Loop Water failure

So my Piledriver computer kept shutting down for no reason, and I couldn't figure it out. I just chalked it up to a crapper Asrock mobo. I had a Thermaltake Water 2.0 Performer on it as a cooler, and since both fans and the pump were reporting rpms, I never thought to pin it as the culprit...

    Security convenience trade off

Had this conversation with a friend after he was having with McAfee and I put on a different antimalware software I didn't want to sound like an ass and say humans are usually the weak link in the infection chain so I made the program prompt him for everything. Which probably defeated the...

I just got the Surface RT

and it's one of the best tablets I've ever used (talking about RT in general, also used the Vivotab RT)! Ok, at the original retail price it loses out on the value front. But I can totally see where MS is going with the Modern UI interface. I just wish it was more complete so the desktop...
