Windows 10 Fall Update pulled from server!

Hmm I wonder, if you use the Media Creation tool from 1511 will it download the 1511 files or will it DL the 10240 (july build) ?

--Downloading now (to ISO) using the 1511 (10.0.10586.0) Media Creation Tool.exe..

Edit: Well that seems to work fine (ie using Media Creation Tool prior to today)

used Media Creation tool with properties (file Version) 10.0.10586.0
Save/Extract Iso
Go to Sources -> install.esd -> Explorer ->Properties
Is same version as previous creation tool

It was never pulled from Windows update. There is just an issue with clean installing with the 1511 ISO's.

You know the hassle it will be to clean install 10240, and then do 10586 upgrade, which is basically a new install as well.

Even worse for people who don't know this, who will set up their preferences, only to have many of them reverted when upgrading to 10586.

They basically made win10 installation a twice as long process now.

glad I have the 1511 already on a bootable USB stick.
 
Thanks. Downloaded the ISO and performed an in-place upgrade. All went smoothly.
