Whoa! Anybody see this?

It's just a 9700 with www.quietpc.com 's fanless heatsink / heat pipe kit pre-installed. It's probably cheaper to do it yourself.

Yeah, and void your warranty, too. :) Seriously, this is the first 9700 variant I've seen that is overclocked out of the box. And a pretty serious overclock at that. Bit more than I'd care to spend, but still impressive.

Be extremely wary of OCSystem. I recently purchased so-called PC2700 CAS 2.0 ram from them... the one where they ramble on and on about its top-of-the-line hand-picked ram chips. Upon installation, I immediately got massive registry errors, and this was with the ram underclocked to 133 MHZ! Upon popping off the consipcuously superfluous heatsinks I quickly realized the problem: lo and behold, they sold me no-name generic CAS 2.5 ram at 8 nanoseconds --- roughly rated for 125 MHZ operation. I.E., not even PC2100. As far as I can tell, OCSystem is a pathetic sham operation banking on its customer's lack of nowledge and worthless heatsinks that cover up the speed ratings on their ram. I have little confidence in their butchered video cards being of any value.

I wasn't going to get one of those cards (too expensive) but thanks for the heads up anyway. Like I said, I kinda had my doubts about them due to their very low ratings on Resellerratings.com.

Actually that cooler I do beleive is made by Zalman (known for their über-big CPU heatsinks).

And thank God for resellerratings :) When I ordered my 2400+, the top 3 stores had numerous stories of customers being ripped off or crappy service.
