What's the last movie you saw?

Suzume 7/10 - By the same person that did Your Name. Animation was amazing as usual and there are cats! But the story was so so. I loved they used the song in Kiki's Delivery Service!

Watched a bunch of movies that I can't remember now.
I think one with the long nose Julia Roberts - Leave the world behind.
Another with Scarlet titled Astroid City.
Marvels which wasn't bad.

Love and Monsters 7.5/10 - Thanks guys for recommending this one a long time ago (noticed it popped up on Netflix last month). Yes the plot was predictable but it doesn't take itself seriously and was a fun ride and at about an hour forty it didn't overstay its welcome. I really miss these short simple movies, everything seems to have to be 2+ hour monstrosities these days.

Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget 6.5/10 - Definitely for the younger crowd as there was a lot of plot armor conveniences that made it hard to believe anyone at all was really in any sort of danger. There was some British humor and some gags but yeah it was mainly a kids movie.

Leave TWB: I kind of liked it but it seemed like it was worked out of a series script crammed into a movie. Some unappealing characters but still worth a look. From the guy who made Mr Robot my fav series of the 2010's. Good premise from a known scenario of which there are many from an enemy using asynchronous/asymmetric warfare.

Did you notice the Evil Corp logo from Mr. Robot in the movie? They had one early on when they have Kevin Bacon's character loading up his truck. I think it was on some boxes or barrels. I think one of the logos had the E logo as well. Just a little Easter egg, I guess.

Didnt see it that time but I saw it on the laptop yea lol. Almost thought for a bit we were in that universe...

I appreciate that you managed to figure out I meant 'laptop' with my 'logos' typo.

I don't think it was meant to be in the same universe. I haven't heard anything to that effect. Although I guess there could have been hacking invovled with what happened in the movie.

But the movie is based on a book, so I doubt it was intended to be more than an Easter Egg.

We'll have to look out for it when Esmail does his Battlestar Galactica series and Metropolis series :D... Hope BG isnt a reboot tho but a continuation of the 2004 show.

Role play. Trash movie best watched at 1.5x speed. 4/10.
Justice league crisis on infinite earths part 1. Unnecessary complicated story telling and not so good. 4/10.
Running man. Arnold doesn’t need a choppa. 8/10.
Aquaman 2. Decent movie with funnies. 7/10.

…. and many others I watched that I forgot about.

Trying to think of some that I've watched recently that stand out.

I did like the new Indiana Jones movie. Wasn't up to the level of the orginals, but miles better than Crystal Skull. And better than the attention it got. Seemed like the movie was just kind of forgotten about.

Maestro was terrible. One of those movies with excellent production and acting, but just totally boring. For a biopic I was left with no clue why the guy was important or why I should care about his life. It was mostly a movie about a guy bickering with his wife.

That would be a ton of guys they could make movies about then...

I also enjoyed Indiana J. Not the worst movie.. not the best.

Prey 6.5/10 - Seriously them not speaking Comanche while everyone else speaks their language really took me out of it. Hulu didn't sub the French people so I guess kudos for that but still. Also quite a bit of the movie was dark, maybe if I had a HDR capable TV it might've been better but those scenes remind me of a certain GOT episode. Interesting take on a predator movie but despite not being overly long I thought it had a bit of a slow burn leading into the fun parts.
