view network ip addresses

Ok here's the deal.

We've moved our network around at work and the ip address of our printer has changed, so all the computers are now looking for the printer in the wrong place.

Is there any way without going onto the server to find out the new ip address of the printer, or just find it again.

Softperfect network scanner (freeware) could do the job by scanning a range of IP's in your local network.

You can download it here:

Fill in the local range (for example 192.168.0.1 - 192.168.0.255) and it should show up the printer IP and/or hostname.

I would suggest Angry IP Scanner. Its small, fast and easy to use. Just type in the IP range you want to ping and it does the rest.

Shouldn't the printer have a host name, making the IP irrelevant?

Can't you just get a configuration page off the printer?
