THE Benchmark Thread

Hey acroig you good with me editing the OP when reviews start hitting? to have links to all of them to make it easier for people to find.

Of course! Yet this thread was intended mostly for our own user benchmarks rather than professional reviews/benchies.

The 3080 is apparently slower than the 1080ti SLI I have in Time Spy and Firestrike.

Guru 3d has Firestrike Ultra at 10667 on the 3080.
I'm clocking in at 11939. 10.56% faster.

Time Spy at Guru3d on a 3080 is 15034.
My 1080ti benchmark score is 17134. 12.25% faster.

Granted that is a SLI score and there are very few games that support that. But still....

Sounds about right as the 3080 is about 70-80% faster than 1080 Ti in games.

I saw the same thing with all the review results on the 3080. The vast majority of the games that supported SLI were slower than 2x1080Ti Strix.

I recently played a bunch of games using this SLI config when I got the 2nd card 8-10 months ago. Still fresh in memory. Even had it working in Resident Evil 2 and a couple other more recent titles.

Q2 RTX is full global illumination path tracing (like Minecraft RTX). Control and other games are hybrids with ray-traced effects alongside normal rasterization.

no idea if that's good or ****, I never use 3dmark. Downloading Horizon Zero Dawn again, so will test that whenever it's done.

That's a pretty good score. I manage about 12,200 with my setup without overclocking.

Trying out some Quake 2 RTX

1080p: 110-120 fps
1440p: 65-70 fps
2160p: 30-33 fps

How did you set it up?

I put global illumination to high, and timedemo 1 demo demo 1
and got average 46fps at 4k

no idea if I need to change anything else.

Well I'm doing less that that at 1440 so I'd say that's good.
