screenshots of mostly women in various games cutscenes

now I don't play many AAA games over the years, but playing death stranding made me want so see comparison or sort off from AAA titles from the past although tech oldest game is like only 7 years old or something... why only women screenshots? well why not

practically various games from over a console generation, Ryse and Ass Creed Unity looked dated already, while Deus Ex Mandkind Divided and Homefront The Revolution also aren't that great... however from MGSV to Rise of Tomb Raider and to Death Stranding, the photorealism is pretty maxed out.

note that of all the games I listed here, Ryse and Homefront The Revolution used basically the same engine, Cryengine, althoughh Homefront version was the more advanced one.

for the cartoon and anime, the games are :
Masuerada Songs of Shadows, which is a turn based RPG made using Unity
Valkariya Chronicles 3, which was a what, PS3 port game?
Dragon Ball FighterZ, don't remember what engine it was made with, Unreal 4 or was it Arc Sys own engine?

let's discuss.
 
Photos 2, 3, and 6 look really good to me. 7, which I think is Death Stranding looks good, but there's just something off about it. I think it's the lips and eyes. The lifeless eyes and the pale colors they used just make it look like a wax figure or a corpse. I wish the photos were labeled for the games, I'm having a hard time figuring out which is which from the text under them. The only games I know are 1, 6, and 7.

As for photorealism, obviously Fragile from Death Stranding is above them all, but is also the newest so it makes sense.

go on, I don't have nor I have played witcher 3 :bleh: I'd like to know on which level twc3 face graphics are at? maybe it's in the middle on this list.

Man, Death Stranding characters really don't impress me in the stills. They all look lifeless and fake. Why are they all crying? This game looks super depressing. :lol:

Would've been a better thread if its was a general "Photo realist faces/characters thread"

Also, Death Stranding takes the prize in this contest. Far and away. In motion its is EXCELLENT and OP picked hella weird stills for DS.

I think the Triss Playboy shots are actually from Witcher 2.

They are quality renderings for sure but nowhere near photorealism. They look more like anime by today's standards

The main character cries as well. Its actually a plot device, some kind of reaction to what's going on with the world and only certain people are affected. I'm early on in the game but AFAIK doesn't have anything to do with being sad.
