problems with Fast write and agpX8

i know some of these questions has been asked b4 but no1 seem to give any answers

im having problems enabling fast write and agpX8
i used to be able to enable both of these settings
b4 i brought 2 sata HDD and installed RAID and reinstalling Windows
now when i try to enable them after applying and reseting comp they r both set back to off and agpx4 (i think its Smartgart)
as i still have my old HDD and everything is still in there i have tried running it and i was able to have fast write on (not too sure about agpx8 as this problem only started after i installed cat. 3.8 and couldnt be botherd to put that HDD in again)
i know alot of people says fast write and agpx8 aint that usefull
but on my old settings my bechmark scores was higher (3Dmark01 droped 1300 and 3Dmark03 droped 300)
any1 know anyway to fix this??

512RAM
Radeon 9700(non-pro)
Asus P4P800 deluxe
WinXP
 
make sure you have the agp drivers installed for your motherboard, i just reformatted and had same prob and then went doh, and installed the latest agp drivers for it
 
i fixed this now with installing intel INF Update Utility
realised i had this problem with SM bus controller in device manager
 
Thats why they are on the mainboard cd lol, can solve mega heep sof problems correct isntallation of soft and hardware
