ok, this is irking me to no end...
i'm having problems with my radeon 64 ddr OEM on my amd k6/3-450. i can't get unreal tournament to run, it either 1) starts the intro and then goes all screwy, or else the monitor light goes yellow, like it's not getting a signal, and i have to restart, or 2) i can get to the main UT screen, but when i change resolution or color depth it locks up/ goes blank, and the monitor light goes yellow. this happens in D3D,and Open GL. i have reformatted, installed the VIA 4in1 drivers, with agp not in turbo mode, installed DX7a, and have tried the ATi drivers on my cd along with the ones from their website, and patched UT to 4.28, all to no avail. it seems everything else works great with this card. the monitor works fine with my TNT2 and my Rage Fury. any help would be great... here's my hardware info...
AMD K63/450- not overclocked
256 PC100 RAM
TMC AI5VG+ motherboard with VIA Mvp3 chipset
64 meg Radeon OEM- not overclocked
17.2 gig Seagate HDD
monitor is a Viewsonic 17GS
hope this is enough info...
THANKS!

First off, if you morons are not going to give the man an answer then take your stupid posts elsewhere -- what a waste of bandwidth!!
Torture_engine, try turning off AGP support in the DirectX Diagnostics program. You can get to it through System Information in your start menu-programs-accessories-system tools.
Hope this helps!

well, after much work, i got it to work- turns out i had to edit unreal tournament's system.ini to have me start in 1024x768, 32 bit, it ran great, BUT it kept freezing occasionally. so, i got the newest ATi driver, and did a clean win98se install, put on the new drivers, and got a windows protection error!!! so, i guess i'll try the " special purpose" driver... it was running ok for a K63-450, like 70fps with al the candy on, with EXCELLENT visual quality, aside from my problems THIS CARD ROCKS!!!
thank you all, if anyone has any more advice, i'll take it!
ps- I still would NEVER buy a voodoo!!! 3DFX is a crumbling empire, now that ATi is getting their act together...
