Pressure washer and foam cannons

logical

bout to lose my job TODAY
Any of you guys use a pressure washer + foam cannon for cleaning your car? What do you guys use?

I picked up a super el cheapo setup to get going so I dont have to go to the car wash anymore. Cheap ryobi electric pressure washer and a 20 dollar foam cannon from amazon. Going to take some pics when it all comes in and I give it a shot for the first time.

ya i have stihl pressure washer and cannon. More for stripping siding but works great on a car. Just have to be careful with the pressure

I go to the auto wash. Costs 10 bucks once a month per car. :bleh:

And does a **** job if it's touchless. If it's not touchless, have fun destroying your finish.

I have a foam cannon but used to use my dad's pressure washer before I moved out. Never got another one, but when I used it, it was great aside from the hassle of setting up.

I use mine all the time. I typically run chemical guys soap in it, because I can get it locally at advance auto now.

over here you can no longer wash your car outside a car wash (with soap an d chemicals that is...). There are same hefty fines for doing so, even on your own ground too.

I've wanted one for quite some time, but never pull the trigger. Maybe I'll get one this year?

Which pressure washer and/or foam cannon are you guys using?

It is fine. I drive a Ford.
It is touchless until you get out. Then 5 dudes come around and dry the car and also wipe it down/vacuum and polish it from the inside.

I just use a 2400 psi Craftsman pressure washer I got at lowes. Foam cannon was like 20 bucks on amazon. No-name brand, but it works well.

I don't have a foam cannon but use a Ryobi plug in pressure washer, it works well. It can be used with soap, so kind of does it all.

Chemical guys has really been hyped up, but I've stopped using their products. For the wash, try Meguiars Gold Class Soap. Really good stuff. Advance and Autozone both sell it.

I just use a hose. Got tired of setting up the pressure washer all the time .. too much work. Wet the car, wipe it down, wet again, soap it with hand towels, and then dry. Stops all the terrible swirl marks too.

Got chemical brothers honeydew foam do that should do. They actually have a store down here but since I needed something from Amazon I just got it there and skipped the visit.

Which Ryobi? I got the cheap 99 dollar one. 1600 psi but reviews testing pressure say it actually puts out at 1900 psi. That one does have the soap input but in any review I watched no one actually used it.

Are you guys saying you wash your cars yourselves? :hmm:

No one will get your car as clean as possible as yourself.

Love Gold Class. That's what I use in the bucket. The chem guys stuff in the foam cannon.

Yeah I kept having issues with my post actually posting and I had to retype it 3 times. Third time I got lazy...

I had a part in there where I said I ditched the foam cannon and just bucket wash now and I'm getting the same shine. I think it all comes from the Gold Class. Seriously in love with that wash.

The Ryobi I have is from 2014 or 2015, and NLA. I can't even find a picture of it online, though I didn't spend a lot of time looking. The soaping system works pretty well. Want to say I spent about $150 on mine.

I have a pressure washer with a car wash specific nozzle, but I actually prefer washing the car myself by hand. A large sponge and some good car wash liquid from any of the big brands is all you need. Wash and wax.

Either that or I let the rain do it.

You still wash it by hand... You don't just foam it and rinse it off.

Got everything setup and it seems to foam gun is a bust. I think I need to take it apart to make sure there is the little filter/foamer thing in the front cause all it was throwing was soap water.

The cheap pressure washer worked well though.
